Self assigning jobs

When a backlog job is marked Ready to Start a notification is sent to the group. The notification is backed by an inbox wizard with options to assign to himself or open a blocking issue to move the job to Not Ready. Either action removes the notification from the inbox of everyone in the group.

Self assigning bugs

A critical bug sends a triage report notification to the group which lists all critical bugs. That notification remains until these bugs are resolved or moved to a job.

A normal bug sends a can you start this bug notification to the group with options to create an Accepted stage job from the bug or move to an existing job.

Job approval

See Assigned stage. In addition, an approval notification asks each member of the group to approve or block the assignment. The job shows in the From You inbox section with the options to add required approvers, unassign, or poke the group to resend the notification.

If you directly assign a job to someone else than the job shows as Unaccepted until the assignee approves the job. A notification is sent to the assignee(s) to approve or reject and the job shows in your From You inbox section.

Job estimation

See Accepted stage. Additionally, a job that goes a workspace configurable number of days without an estimate will automatically move back to Assigned stage.

Job review

Besides satisfying job estimation for a day, opening a progress report for a job sends a notification to the group or just those mentioned in the report to review the job. This notification has the option to reply to the progress report or create a new job task.

Creating a new progress report automatically resolves any existing report and so the old notification.

Job assistance

See Assistance Needed stage. Assistance sends notifications that feature the question or suggestion and also show up in the From You inbox section of the person needing assistance.
